When Abed’s, the premier fabric and home textile company in Barbados, needed to upgrade the lighting in their newly expanded retail space, we were called in to get the job done right.

From the jump, the goal was clear: make the space bright, welcoming, and practical for both staff and shoppers. Fabric stores rely heavily on good lighting, customers need to see true colours and textures. So we installed a clean, energy-efficient setup using a mix of track lighting, LED spotlights, and suspended fixtures. Everything was positioned to eliminate shadows and bring out the richness in the fabric displays.

We also made sure the layout was flexible enough to handle future updates. Track lighting systems give them the freedom to move things around without needing major electrical work every time. Clean cable management and safe, up-to-code wiring throughout the ceiling made it not just functional, but tidy and long-lasting.

Abed’s wanted a modern retail look without losing that warm, boutique-style charm. We used warm white LEDs in some areas, cooler lighting in others, and layered it to give depth and contrast. It’s the kind of lighting setup that makes colours pop and creates a comfortable shopping experience.

From install to testing, this was a full-service lighting job – planned and executed to meet retail standards while keeping energy costs low.
